Plantations

BGSL's plantations are in the range of 10,000-20,000 hectares each. All have ready access to deep water ports, and are situated in geographical areas of the world with favorable topography and climatic conditions for the ideal growing of the Champion C-4.

Plantation sites meet exacting standards for temperature, percentage and intensity of sunlight, water quality and a number of other factors. Sites also meet BGSL's criteria for political and economic stability, sustainability, manpower availability, and suitable infrastructure and access to transportation. Plantations are fully irrigated to optimize growth.

BGSL's plantations are staffed with qualified professionals recruited internationally. Agricultural workers are hired locally and employed full-time throughout the year. All are paid premium wages.

Plantations are located in rural or remote areas so the company takes special measures to assure the retention, well-being, and loyalty of its employees. Comfortable modern living quarters, plentiful and nourishing meals, professional medical care, ample recreational facilities, and scheduled weekend transportation to the nearest major city are provided free-of-charge to all employees.
